Three years ago my husband and I decided to change our health. Not because we’d been given any sort of diagnosis or told by a doctor that we needed to, we just knew we did. We weren’t over weight, we didn’t want to train for a marathon. We just wanted to prepare for the fact that we were getting older and knew that we should be paying better attention to ourselves.
So I joined an organization called Plexus Worldwide, a company that produces and sells health supplements. It is not a weight loss company, though they do have products that help with weight loss. It’s a company that actually started with a kit to help with early breast cancer detection. Over the years they’ve added various other products to their business ranging from multi-vitamins to meal replacement shakes. We had very good success in our first three months of using the products.
I didn’t initially want to actually sell the products, I simply signed up as an ambassador because I like a good deal and wanted the wholesale prices. After posting on Facebook about the success we were having though people start inquiring on how they too could get these products and so my business began. At first it was great, however I quickly ran into snags with those who wanted to lose weight or wanted more energy, but enough to pay the cost of the products.
I get it, believe me I totally get it. The products are not cheap. Unfortunately that seems to be the way of the world. Products that are actually good for your body are more challenging to get and cost more money. While horrible food and many other products that go in or on our bodies are readily accessible and easily affordable. It’s very sad! Being someone who is very budget conscious it was a big jump for me to spend the money on the products as well even with my discount.
Because of this and other factors, David and I have gone on somewhat of a roller coaster ride using the products. We do really well for several months, then get back into bad habits, and back and forth, back and forth. Now mind you, these products aren’t quick fixes or magic products. We still have to mentally focus on eating better and exercising more in addition to sticking with a long term routine of taking our products.
When we are faithful to them, they are faithful to us. We had weight loss, more energy, slept better and just overall “felt good” in the words of my husband. One would think that we’d always want that, and we do, but just like you it’s so easy to fall back into bad habits. And for the last six months or so that’s where we’ve been, back to the old and out with the new.
Last week we jumped back on the wagon, and so far so good we are sticking to it. This time I didn’t do any weights, measurements or pictures to show our transformations. I’m sure in time we’ll be able to easily look back at some photos and do a before/after. Right now I’m just focused on making sure we stick to the plan and paying attention to how we feel. I can tell you that without my Plexus I wouldn’t be getting through this night shift gig that’s for sure!
If you are interested in learning more please send me a message, I love sharing the health benefits of these products. If you aren’t then that’s okay too!
