Summer, summer, summertime!!

Hey y’all! I haven’t gotten around to a part 3 on hanging up the headset…but I don’t want to force it, it will come when the time is right. For now, I’m adjusting to life as a normal human where I actually go to bed at night time!Last week I had an entire week off, alone, to do just that. It wasn’t as terrible of a transition as I expected though my week went by way too fast!This week is vacation with the family, well part of the family, it is just David, DJ and I this trip. We drove down to Florida, what an adventure! In our almost 25 years this is the furthest we have traveled together.The highlight of the trip so far was our day spent in New Orleans. We figured we may never be this close again so we had to make the 3 mile trek west and man was it worth it! We spent 4 hours walking the streets of the French Quarter. Where else can you just pop in a bar, grab a drink and watch a live band at 2pm on a Monday afternoon?! And of course we had to pay a quick visit to the Superdome before we left town, no Drew Brees sightings unfortunately!So far we’ve been thru Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana. We’ve seen over 32 different state license plates. We leave early Friday morning to start towards home and plan to make a pit stop in Asheville, NC. Y’all know I need to visit that Bold Rock location! Until next time, hope you guys are living up your summertime as well!~Carla~
