February….wait it’s already March?!

Well so much for my monthly posts I guess, considering March is half over! Time truly does fly when you are having fun.

The transition into February was such a sad and somber one but February is the month of love! We continued what we started and enjoyed life to the fullest! We celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary along with the exciting news that we are going to be grandparents for the first time! I told you 2020 was going to be a great year. We went hiking with our pup on a gorgeous pre-spring day. We also saw UVA basketball season come to an end and some of our favorite players finish their college careers. The highlight of that was getting to meet one of them while shopping for our new grandbaby!

Currently though our country and our world are in full blown panic mode over this stupid virus nonsense. I don’t know maybe I’m not taking it serious enough, but geez you let the media get a hold of a story and the next thing you know the world is ending. Like seriously. If you want to get real, the world will end one day, but I’m pretty sure people are not even this scared of the Rapture….which to me is pretty damn scary! (The fact that people aren’t scared of the Rapture that is, not the Rapture itself, because I know where I’m going when that happens!)

I understand that this is contagious, I understand there is no vaccine, I understand that it seems to be spreading quickly. But I also understand that we have things like the flu that does the same thing, and the common cold, along with lots of other things. We should ALL be using common sense every day of our lives by washing and sanitizing our hands, not leaving our house if we don’t feel well, etc. But we live in a time where common sense just doesn’t seem to prevail.

So that means life is being altered for many without much choice on our parts. We are trying our best to still support our local small businesses as those will take the largest hit. Especially areas of service where people rely on customers coming out and providing tips, this is how they earn their living, and stuff like this is going to make a huge impact on that.

So short and sweet, the same message I’ve been preaching, LIVE LIFE, I know we are going to!

I'm just a simple girl, I'm a wife and momma first and foremost, and now a Nana which is my greatest job so far! I also work full time but due to the changes our country and world have been through I now work from home. I grew up in a small town in Virginia and now call another small town in Virginia home. I enjoy writing and thought it might be fun to share a little piece of my life with others.
